Adding a product to the catalog rarely takes more than two minutes. The problem is that you add fifty with every delivery. And by the fiftieth sheet, the description is three words long, the category is approximate and the tags are empty.
GIA's Product sheet module starts from a simple observation: the product photo already holds most of the information. It just needs to be read.
How it works
From GIA → Product sheet, upload the product photo: JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB. GIA analyzes it in four steps, shown in real time:
- Image analysis
- Product identification
- Information detection
- Product sheet preparation
A few seconds later, the sheet is ready to review.
What the sheet contains
- The product name, readable by a customer rather than an internal reference.
- The category, matched to an existing category in your catalog when possible, with secondary categories on top.
- The audience (girl, boy, unisex) and age range, when they can be inferred — useful for toys, clothing or baby products.
- A written description, ready for your store or listing.
- 3 to 5 selling points, short, which you can reorder, edit or delete.
- Tags and keywords for internal search and SEO.
- The barcode, if it is visible in the photo.
Every field stays editable, and each has its own copy button.
What GIA refuses to make up
A wrong sheet is worse than an empty one, because it looks right. So GIA follows strict rules:
The barcode is never invented. It is only filled in if it is visible and fully readable in the photo. Otherwise the field stays empty.
No guessed brand or model. If the photo does not clearly show the product, GIA carefully describes what is visible instead of assigning a brand at random.
No price, no supplier, no stock. Those cannot be read from a photo. You enter them yourself.
From draft to catalog
Once the sheet is reviewed, four actions are available:
- Save as product: GIA opens G-stock's "New product" form, prefilled with the name, category, barcode, audience, age and designation (description and selling points). You add the price, supplier and stock, then confirm as usual.
- Copy the sheet, to paste it into a listing or a message.
- Export, as text or JSON.
- New analysis, to move on to the next product.
GIA never creates the product on its own: final validation stays in the product form, with its usual checks.
Photos that make good sheets
Sheet quality depends directly on the photo. A few rules are enough:
- One product per photo, well centered.
- A neutral background and enough light, with no glare on the packaging.
- The label or packaging visible: that is where the brand, size and barcode are.
- A sharp photo: a blurry barcode will not be read, and that is on purpose.
The real gain
The time saved per sheet is real, but it is not the main point. The real gain is consistency: the fiftieth sheet of the delivery is as complete as the first, with a description, selling points and keywords. And a consistent catalog sells better, in store and online.
Natural next step: showcase that product with the GIA Gallery, which generates visuals from the same photo.
